As a Sales Engineer, you are the technical-commercial expert in the area of infrastructure, enabling you to draw up optimum offers in terms of technology, availability and costs.
You translate the wishes and needs of clients and account managers into geographical overviews, network drawings, budgets and offers. Sometimes you accompany the account managers to determine the client's needs and promote the infrastructure. In this role, you are responsible for generating the cost calculations, ensuring that they are carefully worked out and storing everything correctly within the organization. (You support the Solution Architects and tackle more straightforward configurations and quotations independently with account management and the client.)
You work in the bid team to respond to tenders and large customer projects.
We are looking for someone who can pick up matters very independently but who really enjoys being part of a bigger picture and knows what lines of communication are running. Someone who can connect people through their way of working. You have the necessary technical knowledge and can build bridges to commerce. This is also reflected in the texts that you write for offers, for example. In addition, you are eager to develop your skills and continue to grow in complex services.
Furthermore, you have:
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in e.g. a pre-sales team or experience in an executory fiber optic infrastructure position in the telecom industry;
Experience with fiber optics, DWDM solutions and/or Ethernet;
Familiarity with MEF definitions;
Good command of Dutch, French and English. German is an asset.
