For our Legal Office department within DSI in Zaventem, we are looking for a :

 

Data Management Officer

 

The Data Management Officer is responsible for reviewing all new proposed processes and IT systems and tools to ensure that all processes, systems and tools are compliant with internal and external privacy and confidentiality regulations (excl. IT security which is done by the IT department). The DMO will thus be involved in process and system design and implementation to manage the data and confidentiality related aspects (other than IT security)

 

About your responsibilities :

 

  • Manage, support and develop the privacy and confidentiality projects and processes under the lead of the privacy and confidentiality team lead, in cooperation with the global Deloitte network
  • Propose, develop and implement initiatives related to or for the confidentiality and privacy projects
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation and efficiency of the privacy and confidentiality programs the Belgian Deloitte firm;
  • Responsible for the implementation and integration of confidentiality and privacy risk management procedures across the enterprise, based on thorough understanding of processes and IT environment.
  • Monitors and analyses trends, risks and evolutions in the privacy and data confidentiality environment and legislation

 

About your tasks :

 

  • Conduct confidentiality and privacy impact assessments (with exception of the IT security side) on proposed new processes, IT solutions or tools to be adopted
  • Manage confidentiality and privacy incidents in accordance with the applicable guidelines
  • Record and analyse incidents, formulate improvement plans and implement them together with the confidentiality/privacy team;
  • Play a key role in the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and identification and follow-up of mitigating activities;
  • Manage and support the privacy leads of the business units and different departments (IT, marketing, HR, …)
  • Provide support for contract negotiation on privacy and confidentiality related matters in accordance with the Deloitte guidelines
  • Respond to privacy (GDPR) related questions from the business and data subjects;
  • Actively participate in and interact with the global Deloitte privacy group and the global Deloitte confidentiality group
  • Develop and manage the development and delivery of trainings on confidentiality and privacy related topics to the business and supporting functions
  • Assist in the roll-out of confidential information programs and conduct sample checking of proper roll-out thereof
  • Enforce privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures by sample testing and audits
  • (Assist in the) develop(ment)/improve(ment) of privacy and confidentiality related policies

 

Your Profile: 

 

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent by experience ;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the same area ;
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch, both written and spoken; Good knowledge of French is an asset
  • You have a knowledge of or genuine interest in privacy (GDPR) and data confidentiality matters
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, knowledge of project management follow up, team player, very good communicator; interested in data management, IT systems and tools/environments, new technologies and related regulatory and legal rules
  • You are eager to follow the privacy and technology trends
